The Accutest System involves filling the primary circuit of any heat exchanger with Helium gas to a pressure no greater than 30 psi.

The Helium gas being a highly mobile and noble gas will easily locate any defects within the plant. The secondary side of the heat exchanger has a low volume air circulation fitted with a detector probe as an integral part. The probe detects any crossover of Helium to the secondary side to as little as 2 pm.

Maitech Sales and Service provide a complete solution to your Pasteuriser Holding Time Requirements.

We offer two different methods:

• The saline Test.
• The Accutest Hold Check.

The Saline Test is the traditional method where a Saline solution is injected at a point and is detected by a Conductivity Probe and timed. The Pasteuriser needs to be running on water for this test.

The Accutest Hold Check is a non-intrusive test and can be carried out during production. Thermo Couples are placed at the beginning and the end of the holding section, a heat rise is applied to the plant which is detected by the Thermo Couples and is sent to a Calibrated Logger.

The Accutest Hold Check would be the preferred method as there is virtually no disruption to production and the test is carried out on product.

Maitech offer a complete Integrity test service of all Process Vessels, Silos and Cheese Vats Etc.

The preferred method is the Fluorescent Liquid Penetrant Inspection. This test involves the coating of the internal surface with a Food Grade Dye Penetrant; this is then washed off and inspected by using an ultra violet light to detect any defects.

All technicians are qualified to SNT-TC- 1A level 2.
