Soavi was first established in Parma, Italy in 1947 and began to engineer and produce high pressure homogenisers. In 1990 the company was aquired by the Danish Niro Atomizer, thus becoming Niro Soavi . Niro Soavi continued to consolidate its presence in worldwide markets with dynamic high pressure homogenisers and pumps until they became part of the GEA Group in 1993. Today, with thousands of systems operating all over the world, GEA Niro Soavi is a world leader for high pressure homogeisers and pumps both in terms of technology and market presence.
